Chambrelan Storms Australian Trade Show

Having completed a whistle stop tour of Australia's AIMEX mining show and AFAC Fire conference, the earliest reports signal both shows were a great success and therefore we want to take the opportunity to thank all those customers from the large mining companies and Fire Vehicle manufacturers who we caught up with over the last few weeks and commented on our range of heavy duty drawer slides and linear guidance systems.

Although demand from both sectors has slowed over the last two years, it is hoped that recent results of government elections – and next year's local government elections – signals a change of fortune for both industries and according to many observers a growth in the vehicle build market is to be expected.

We spoke with Bruce Elliott, Managing Director of Integrated Technology Equipment , who gave us his thoughts on the exhibitions:

“With the new government promising to cut taxation on industry, especially the carbon tax in a bid to stimulate growth and investment we believe Chambrelan has the experience, the range and the availability to support builders when the time comes,” confirms Bruce.  “This was made evident by the huge amount of interest we had on stand at both shows and we look forward to catching up with all our enquiries.”

Indeed, as the Mining show closed the AFAC fire show in Melbourne was about to begin.  This year some engineering delegates also attended and in so doing suppliers, suppliers, vehicle builders and end users were able to discuss business for the first time.

“We already supply a large percentage of vehicle builders with Chambrelan slides and linear rail motion systems ,” adds Jeremy Binnington.  “But our latest offer, is a self assembly draw system, a collaboration between Anderson Fire and Rescue and Chambrelan UK, which proved very popular.”

“This unit has been a huge success and we are now delighted to be able to offer it to all our Australian customers,” confirms Jeremy Binnington.  UK customers would need to speak to Anderson Fire directly.”
