As the first of a series of Australian trade shows come to a close we catch up with Bruce Elliott, Managing Director of Integrated Equipment, to discuss how Australian vehicle building and manufacturing sectors are responding to Chambrelan's range of telescopic slides and linear rail motion systems .
More as a platform for manufacturing and engineering NMW is home to over 300 national and regional businesses, which come together to showcase the latest products and knowledge to the Australian and South East Asian markets.
“The show was a four day event,” confirmed Bruce, “and from the moment the doors opened we realised it was going to be busy.”
With over thirty years of working in the Australian Fire, Engineering and Services market much of the knowledge and experience Bruce has accrued is easily transferrable to other sectors and with a host of Engineering, Manufacturing and Commercial Vehicles Builders, including caravans, hearses and service vehicles attracted to NMW, Bruce and his team were kept busy.
“Just to give you an example of how Chambrelan's heavy duty slides and linear rail motion systems have been received here, when we showcased our range last year we handed out only two boxes of catalogues during whole show. This year we handed more than that in the first day and more than 6 over the course of the show.”
With the general feedback from Chambrelan's range being positive, many customers cited issues with their current suppliers' slides and remarked on the quality and load capacity of the Chambrelan collection.
“It's only been a few days since the exhibition, but already we're receiving a high volume of calls from contacts we made,” adds Bruce. “I'd also like to thank all the visitors who took the time to visit the stand and discuss their applications.”
